Prior to version 3.0 of Admin Script Editor, there were no separate editions. If you are looking to upgrade your 2.x license of ASE to v3.x, please click here for details.

The edition of ASE with which you are working is indicated in the title bar of the application window. The trial verion most closely resembles the Enterprise Edition (less the ScriptPackager and ScriptDeploy features).

ASE utilizes "Per Seat" licensing meaning that a license is required for each computer on which you intend to install ASE, but an unlimited number of people may use it on each licensed machine. iTripoli also provides you a second license for each purchase that may be used on your own personal computer at home. As you may expect, reinstallation on the same machine has been accounted for and does not require an additional license.

Please note that a license is not required to execute packaged scripts created with the Admin Script Editor, only to run the editor application.

Yes. You may install a copy of ASE on one home system, for every license purchased. Paragraph 2c of the End User License Agreement provides a "Home Use" provision that states: The primary user of each computer on which ASE is installed may also install ASE on one home or portable computer. However, ASE may not be used on the secondary computer by another person at the same time ASE on the primary computer is being used.

While Admin Script Editor is licensed on a per-seat basis, an unlimited number of per-seat licenses are available for any one organization by purchasing a corporate license. The cost of a corporate license is $2999.00 and may be ordered by clicking here. As with normal licenses, upgrades are available at a 25% discount (if you have a corporate license and wish to extend your upgrade eligibility, ensure you have migrated your current license to v3.x and click here).

Payments is preferred online by credit card. This is the quickest and most hassle-free method of payment. If however you must pay by other means such as purchase order, check, etc. you may use our alternate method of payment detailed here.

An increasing number of purchasing departments have instituted processes that require a copy of the end user license agreement (EULA) prior to purchase. For this reason, we have provided a copy of the ASE license file here.

When you purchase ASE 3 or later you will be prompted to specify a password. It is this password along with the assigned License number that are used to activate the Admin Script Editor.

Your CustomerID important for activation of ASE 2.x. This information should have been sent via email within minutes of purchase, but if you have lost your number or if you have completed a successful purchased and did not receive your CustomerID, you may request it be sent to the email address you used during purchase here.

When you first launch ASE you will be prompted to activate the installation. This is a one time operation that is very easily completed by pressing the button to activate ASE online using your active Internet connection.

If you are connected to the Internet, use the Activate Online method by simply entering your License ID and password.

If you are not connected to the Internet or have trouble activating online, please select "Activate Offline" and follow the instructions shown. You will be provided two numbers, a third field (your company or user name must be entered manually). Write down or use the print option to take these values to a machine with access to the Internet and use them to fill in the simple form at the provided web address. Three numeric codes are provided by the website which may be written down or printed so that you may take them back to the target system and enter them in the activation dialog.

iTripoli is aware that many of our clients may be using ASE in a disconnected lab or secure environment where Internet connectivity is not possible. For product activation, you may choose the "Offline Activation" option where you will be provided some short codes and a URL that may be used to obtain a license file from our website. Instructions are provided (and may be printed) from the activation dialog. Again, this is a one-time, per-seat process.

The activation process has accounted for this situation. So long as the number of processors, computer name and network card remain the same, reinstalling Admin Script Editor on the same computer will not require an additional license. This is true no matter if your system is re-imaged or formatted and reinstalled. While you will be prompted to activate, the process will not consume a new license. If you upgrade your system or need to move your license from one machine to another, simply contact us, and we will promptly account for the change.

There are currently no reseller or affiliate programs in place for ASE 3.x.
