How do I download ASE?

Click on the My Account page and choose the "Latest Available" download link that appears alongside your license information. If you download a newer version than that for which you are eligible, ASE will fail to start when launched. To extend your license for another year, you may purchase a year of maintenance for the license (at a 25% discount off the full price) which will provide upgrade eligibility for all releases (regardless of major/minor version) during the license expiration period. Note: your license will still work once expired, you will just not be able to install newer versions of ASE. Please see the Sales FAQ for more details.

What different versions of ASE are available?

A full download of the latest official release is provided at the time of purchase. In the "My Account" area, you will find download links for ASE including the following:

  • Working Release: This is a generally available release that has undergone internal testing and has been deemed ready to release. This version of ASE contains new features or changes that have not been in place long enough for us to be confident that no issues will be encountered. When problems are reported and addressed, new Working Editions are released. Once this release has been available, tested and free from significant error reports, it will be unflagged as a Working Release.
  • Latest Available: This is identified for each license you own, alerting you to the latest version of ASE for which the associated license is approved. If you attempt to download a version newer than that of license you own, ASE will fail to start and may revert to "trial mode".

How do I post messages in the Message Boards area?

Once logged in, "New" and "Reply" buttons will be enabled. If you still have problems, you may need to disable any pop-up protection. The new message form is presented as a pop-up window. Note: no ads are present at the ASE site, pop-ups or otherwise.

Can you tell me my UserID?

You may look for your account yourself using the site member list. Failing that, you may contact us with your email address and we can look up your account and write you back with the UserID. However, to ensure account information is not confused with another account (accidentally or deliberately) you must write us using the email address specified for the account.

As an alternative, you may always create a new user account on the site. Note that you cannot create two accounts with the same email address.

Can you tell me my password?

For security reasons, we cannot see your password. If you have forgotten your login name, you may browse for it here or contact us and we will be happy to look it up for you. If you write us to look up your account, please provide any details you can to help us locate the account including any possible email addresses you may have used. If you have forgotten your password, you may reset it using the "Forgotten Password" link at the login page.

Are you looking for the password associated with your license? This may be different than your online account. Please see the Licensing FAQ for details.

How can I change my password?

To change your password, click here. It is hard to catch if you don't know where to look, but there is a link titled "Change password" at the top left of the screen by your Login name when viewing your profile.

What happened to KiXscripts Editor??

The KiXscripts Editor was the predecessor to the Admin Script Editor. Support is still provided for existing users, but it is no longer available for purchase. ASE is a replacement product based upon the success of the KiXscripts Editor. For more details and information on how this change affects KiXscripts Editor users, Click here.
